Town's reserves lost 4-1 to a Chelsea side that included Finnish striker Mikael Forssell at Portman Road on Tuesday night. The Blues had taken the lead through Dean McDonald, but the class of Forssell gave Chelsea the points.

Town legend Mauricio Taricco has announced his retirement from English football and has moved home to Argentina. The full-back left Spurs earlier in the season and had a short spell with West Ham before deciding that it was time to return to his homeland.

Boss Joe Royle urged the Coventry board to give caretaker-manager Adrian Heath the job full-time after the Sky Blues pushed Town all the way. In the end a Shefki Kuqi goal, bizarrely assisted by a Kelvin Davis through ball, gave the Blues a 3-2 win.

Town have confirmed that Canadian international Jaime Peters has committed his future to the Blues. The 17-year-old is at the club this weekend with his agent and will officially join Town on his 18th birthday on May 4th.
